Journal 9-23-2010
Today we went to see a waterfall. The drive was about 2 hours in each direction, on roads that were less than comfortable. But despite the discomfort of the drive we had a GREAT day! 
When we finally got to our destination we got to hike for about 3 kilometers to get to the falls. It felt great to go hiking. The area was beautiful, and it was protected by the forest department. This mean that nobody was living on the land, and that it was (relatively) free of trash. People still threw their trash on the ground anyway, which is sad to see. 
The view from the trail was amazing. As we walked it quickly became more shaded and we started to wade through streams and climb rocks to move up toward the falls. I took off my leather sandals and went barefoot because they are worthless when they get waterlogged. I thought that going barefoot actually made it easier to climb around. The only disadvantage was the broken glass that was scattered around the rocks. Fortunately I didn’t step on any. We went swimming at a pool and ate some chips at the request of Amalan. 
We kept on climbing from the swimming hole, this stressed Amalan greatly. Haha but we made it up to the falls where about 7 Indian dudes were dancing and yelling under the water. Eventually they left and we were able to climb up and get our picture taken under the water fall.
We had fun climbing around the rocks and the streams for a good 3 hours before Amalan managed to get us to walk back down to the entrance to the park. We had lunch at about 3:00 and then started our long drive back. The driving sucked but we had a great day!
