Journal 9-20-2010
Today is Monday and our last day at ICSA. In the morning we filled out an evaluation about various aspects of our stay at ICSA. Then John, Matt and I decided to go to a shopping district to look for some new shirts. We need new shirts because all of our clothes are dirty, and we are leaving to go on rural orientation tomorrow. We visited Pothys (I believe this is how it is spelled), and several other stores before we finally found one that sold cheap shirts that we liked. John and I also got some gifts for our sisters.
When we got back from shopping we got to go to cooking class. Prabu had arranged for the cook from the kitchen (which is located elsewhere) to come and make us prawn and Japanese quail egg masala. It was really fun to learn how to cook some great Indian food. It was easy, quick and really good! This was by far the best meal we have had at ICSA. Prabu even got us coke and ice cream for desert.
After dinner we sat on the roof, listening to Pretty Lights and playing cards for several hours. It is a little bit sad to leave, but we are all ready to move on to the next stage of the trip. ICSA was great but it is time to move on to better things! I am looking forward to having more independence and doing more science related work. The trip is going by so fast, I think that we are almost ¼ of the way done.
